ESSENCE EXPRESS DRY SPRAY REVIEW AND NOTW

In this post I will be reviewing Essence express dry spray. I saw this spray on a fellow bloggers Instagram and I knew I had to go out and buy it hoping that I will work.

I love painting my nails but since I'm always busy, or better said doesn't always have the patience for it to dry, that it often turns out in quite a mess.

LONG LASTING NAIL POLISH BY HEMA (SS2014 EDITION)

I love this time of the year. Spring is a super good excuse to go out and buy allot of new spring and summer approved fashion and beauty items(may I say sometimes to much?). This time I went out and bought some new nail polishes.
I got 4 nail polishes: #813 (Dark Salmon), #442 (Pastel Blue), #807 (Pink) and #830 (Lavender Purple)...

New way to dress up your nails - Cuticle tattoos

Have you heard about the cuticle tattoo?  That's the new nail trend right now. (For me though since I just find out about it). This is an other fun and new way to spice up your nails.

The cuticle tattoo is basically a temporary tattoo or "sticker" which you can put on your cuticle to spice up your nail.

NOTD: Turquoise crazy

At first I didn't realize I bought 2 turquoise (+2 pink) polish with my last nail polish haul

So today I decided to use those 2 turquoise polish, Turquoise & Caicos by Essie and Austin-Tatious Turquoise by OPI on my ring finger

I will never get tired by saying how much I love to paint my nails, but I've realized that I always just paint them in one color and never do "designs".

So i decided to "play" around with two lovely colors and ended up with this.

I used Over the Taupe by OPI as base and Mint Sprint by Sally Hansen at the tips

Nails: Disco Ball

I finally found a multi (chunky) glitter nail polish.
It's the Jewel FX from Milani in 530 Gems
I was so happy to finally get one but at the other hand I was a little concerned about the application, but it turned out super well.
The only bad thing about glitters are that they are super hard to take off.

Yellow Nails?

Hi dolls,
As you may know by now I'm a sucker for nail polish and I paint my nails now even 2 to 3 times a week! Sometimes I think it's a little to much but oh well, I love changing the color.
Yellowed nails are caused by layering nail polish on your nails, wearing nail polish without a base coat  and if you dont take care of your nails of course.
In my case I never used a base coat BEFORE putting on my nail polish, until now.


So I wanted to give you guys some tips on how to "get rid of" that yellow-ish color, which is super ugly unless you are wearing a nail polish over it.


1. Take off all of your nail polish completely
2. Squeeze quarter of a lemon into a small bowl (you don't need much)
3. Get whitening toothpaste and squeeze 3 to 4 inches into the small bowl
4. Mix together completely so that there are no chunks of toothpaste that haven't been spread out (this could take a while)
5. With a cotton swab or a brush paint the mixture onto your nails, then apply a second coat and maybe a third, and let it rest for 10-15 minutes
6. Repeat step 5 for about 3 to 4 times.

Remember to not wear nail polish for a day or 2 and you should be fine, just get a good base coat and remember to use it when you paint your nails :)

Salon Perfect Nails

Have you ever wonder how to achieve does perfect salon looking nails without paying to much for it?
Well here are the How To achieve salon perfect nails


1. First, remove any existing nail polish completely so your nails are clean and dry; don't throw away the cotton pad/ball with polish remover on it just yet.

2. Moisturize your hands. This prevents stray nail polish from adhering to your skin--unfortunately, it also prevents it from adhering to your nail, so once you've moisturized, swipe the nail polish remover over the nails again to remove excess oil.

3. Next, apply the base coat. Go with the cheapest stuff for this, and a very thin layer is fine; it just protects your nails against color bleeding (Orange nails after hot pink polish is not sexy).

4. Apply a thin layer of nail polish over the base coat. Placing the brush about half-way down your nail, push downward (which fans the bristles out) until you almost touch your nail bed. Then reverse and sweep upward. Apply to each nail.

5. Next, apply a second coat to the nails. Start by sweeping the brush horizontally across the top of your nails--this essentially creates a blunt edge of polish and helps prevent chipping. If you accidentally paint some skin, that's ok; we'll take it off in a second.

6. After the horizontal sweep, repeat Step 4 to each nail, paying attention to creating a smooth even surface. Don't apply more than two coats; it takes much longer to dry and often bubbles.

7. Once your nails look perfect, wait for a few minutes and then go over your hands with the polish remover soaked Qtip, removing any excess smudges or paint.

8. Using either your base coat or a separate clear top coat, apply a very thin layer to the top of your nails. Presto! You're gorgeous.

Tips:

- Always allow your nails enough time to dry completely!
- Be careful not to overpaint--if you make a mistake, take the polish completely off and start again, otherwise it gets lumpy
